Мировой океан рассматривается как главный модулятор современных естественных изменений климата в контексте его влияния на испарение в атмосферу и формирование облаков. Особое внимание уделено исследованию процессов замедления темпов роста среднеглобальной температуры. На основе данных дистанционного зондирования Земли и компьютерного моделирования показана тесная связь глобального и регионального климата с аномалиями температуры в тропической зоне Тихого океана.
